Our Reveal, Reveal 3-D and allergen Protein Rapid Test lines provide quick, qualitative results for many analytes, including gluten, peanuts, and more. Designed for accurate detection of processed and unprocessed allergen proteins, these fast, easy tests can be used on-site for clean-in-place (CIP) final rinse water, environmental swab samples, raw ingredients and finished food products.
Our newly expanded allergen testing range provides testing solutions for many key allergens of concern including milk, egg and gluten. Perfect for use onsite, our tests provide qualitative results in minutes.
Reveal 3-D for Food Allergens
Our Reveal 3-D tests can be used to screen for the presence of low levels of allergens in CIP rinses and on environmental swabs virtually anywhere. Reveal 3-D tests feature a unique overload line designed to prevent over-saturation (hook effect) and alert the user of a high positive result. Sample preparation and testing takes less than ten minutes, making Neogen’s Reveal 3-D tests a great choice for on-site food allergen control. The Reveal 3-D line of rapid protein detection kits is uniquely designed to guard against oversaturation and false negative results, with results displayed in three visual lines on the lateral flow test strip. A control line assures the test is working properly, and two other lines outline nondetectable, low, and high levels of the analyte.

Reveal for Multi-Treenut
Our Reveal for Multi-Treenut test is a unique and innovative two line flow test for rapid, simultaneous detection of six tree nut allergens. Reveal for Multi-Treenut is designed to screen environmental swabs and CIP rinse waters for the presence of any one or a combination of almond, cashew, hazelnut, pecan, pistachio, and walnut. Each kit contains everything needed to run ten single use tests on swabs and/or rinses. The test detects allergen levels at 5–10 ppm and is perfect for on-site use with results available in only ten minutes.
Allergen Protein Rapid Test Kits
The 3M Allergen Protein Rapid Test Kits contain a Lateral Flow Device (LDF) that will give you presence/absence results in 10 to 12 minutes. There are 13 allergen specific kits available, including coconut. This test can be used on surfaces, ingredients, and finished products, and can easily be conducted on the production floor. Product testing will require some additional laboratory equipment to prep the sample for testing—swabs and transfer pipettes needed to conduct this test are sold separately.

Reveal 3-D for Food Allergens
Neogen’s Reveal 3-D format for the detection of food allergens is a single-step lateral flow immunochromatographic test. The target food allergen is extracted and diluted and wicked onto the device’s membrane, where it binds with antibodies specific to that allergen. The test will display results in a three-line format as described below:
1. A test line: Confirming the presence or absence of target allergen.
2. An overload line: This innovative feature will disappear in situations where gross contamination is observed protecting against false-negative results.
3. A control line: Ensuring the user the test is working properly.
Each kit contains everything needed for testing environmental swabs and rinses to perform ten single use tests. In addition, several Reveal 3-D tests are validated to screen for presence of allergen in food commodities. This method utilizes a representative sampling protocol to ensure accuracy, while not compromising the rapid time to result. The food testing method is universal across all allergens and product types, requiring minimal additional equipment and training. The food extraction testing buffer and additional accessories are sold separately from Reveal 3-D kits. Each buffer bottle contains enough buffer to run ten tests and are listed under the starter, extraction, and sampling kits section of this document.
